2 1/2 inch gauge "Netta"

Famously described in "Model Engineer" magazine in five different gauges when serialised, it's rare we see a "Netta" - LBSC's take on a North Eastern T class 0-8-0 heavy goods engine - in 2 1/2 inch gauge, the last one we had in was nearly 25 years ago.

And we're not sure we're seeing one now...

Work to date comprises a well advanced tender, erected frames with horns, gunmetal cylinders, smokebox, wheel castings and a pair of connecting and coupling rods. However it's something of a "bitsa"...

The frames, and tender look about right - and the drawings are certainly for a 2 1/2 inch gauge Netta. But there are six machined 13 spoke, 3 inch diameter driving wheels, compared to Netta's eight, fourteen spoke 2 7/16 inch drivers.

The coupling rods are for a six-coupled engine, but not one that shares the horn spacing of this chassis.
