2 1/2 inch gauge "Fayette" Pacific

A vintage 2 1/2 inch gauge Pacific to LBSC's "Fayette" design. In the ownership of one family since it was built, it's come from a gentleman who has a picture of his father - as a boy - being given a ride behind his grandfather, the man who built it.

Certainly the oldest example we've ever had in - we think it's around ninety years old - and possibly one of the first ever built to the "words and music" published in "Model Engineer" magazine from July 1928 to May 1929.

In deference to its age we haven't attempted to test the boiler, however the engine remains in remarkable mechanical condition and ticks over nicely on compressed air.
