2 1/2 inch gauge steam crane with match truck

A 2 1/2 inch gauge steam crane, complete with match truck and purpose built oak display case.

To say that we're a bit taken with this one is a major understatement - few things have been so closely pored over and played with as this crane, it spent much of one afternoon last week lifting wheel castings up and down!

A beautifully made thing, the fit and finish of machined parts is excellent, the fabrication of the riveted jib finely done.

Jib elevation and lift are selected by sliding gears, actuated by a handwheel and bevel drive. The twin cylinder double high engine is self starting, with slip eccentric valve gear for raising and lowering.

Well detailed throughout, including outriggers and jacks which slide out from the chassis along with a length of scale ballasted track and buffer stop for display.
