2 inch scale Burrell DCC Showmans Road Locomotive

A finely made 2 inch scale Burrell Showmans road locomotive to Ronald Clarke's highly detailed "Thetford Town" design.

Largely complete, work remaining includes making stays and olivers to mount the canopy, and making and fitting the alternator and platform for same.

Fit and finish of machined parts is excellent, the engine runs well in either direction with crisp, well-defined exhaust beats.

Paintwork and lining is in traditional Burrell colours.

A long time in build, the boiler had its initial shell test in 1978, almost fifty years ago! It's high time somebody pushed this project over the finishing line - the work to date is to a high standard, it has the potential to make an excellent example of this popular design.
