2 inch scale Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies DCC steam tractor

A 2 inch scale Ransomes, Sim & Jefferies DCC steam tractor to the John Haining design. At an advanced stage of construction, work to date is to a good standard.

The engine turns over freely and gives every indication that it would run on air once fittings have been sealed and glands packed.

The boiler appears well made, with neatly flanged plates and good solder penetration - we would warranty as sound, capable of passing a twice working pressure test.

A worthwhile project - it's a handsome design of compact size, the work to complete requiring only modest workshop facilities.
