3 1/2 inch gauge Baldwin 4-8-4 "Columbia" with commercial CE-marked boiler

A 3 1/2 inch gauge Baldwin 4-8-4 to Martin Evans' impressive "Columbia" design. For those who haven't seen one in the metal there are pictures of several in the archive, including this one which we sold some years ago - it comes out at nearly a foot longer than a 5 inch gauge LNER B1 by the same designer.

The CE-marked boiler by Cheddar Valley Models is a beautifully made thing, the firebox fitted with a fusible plug and brackets for radiant superheaters.

• pair of piston valve cylinder assemblies
• smokebox with saddle, door, steam pipes and petticoat pipe
