3 1/2 inch gauge Bassett-Lowke chassis and drawings

Well-advanced chassis to Bassett-Lowke's design of the 1950s for a sturdy, powerful tank engine. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's valve gear. Axle driven pump. There is an eccentric sheave fitted to the leading axle to drive a mechanical lubricator, there is a casting for the strap included. Brake gear largely complete, it simply needs a screwdown handle. Smokebox, saddle, and chimney and door assembly complete.

Nicely done so far, there is also a seriously tatty set of drawings which, allegedly, survived a house fire (although only just - there are some quite big bits missing!).
