3 1/2 inch gauge BR 9F 2-10-0

A 3 1/2 inch gauge BR 9F 2-10-0 to LBSC's "Evening Star" design, one of the last he worked on, serialised in "Model Engineer" magazine and completed by Martin Evans.

This one came in as an exchange for a 5 inch gauge locomotive, requiring some work although basically in good order with a commercially built boiler in excellent condition.

It's been through the workshop here for servicing, boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued before the engine was run for an hour on the rolling road.

It steams freely and runs well - ready for the track (whenever any of us are next allowed out).
