3 1/2 inch gauge BR Class 08 shunter

A nicely-made and well-detailed model of the ubiquitous BR Class 08 shunter in 3 1/2 inch gauge. Built on a steel chassis with steel wheels and flycranks, the locomotive is powered by a 12 volt motor with right angle drive connected to the rear axle by toothed belt. Power is supplied by a pair of Bosch 12 volt, 1.7aH rechargeable batteries wired in parallel. Controls are mounted on the back of the cab - a master on/off switch, a three-position forward-off-reverse switch, regulator knob and fan switch.

The bodywork is fabricated in metal, the locomotive comes complete with charger.
