3 1/2 inch gauge "Buffalo" 2-8-0

A well made 2-8-0 switcher to Martin Evans' "Buffalo" design - it's the lesser-known sibling of the 0-8-0 "Caribou".

Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 80psi. Cast iron cylinders with piston valves actuated by Baker gear, screw reverser in the cab. Twin mechanical lubricators.

The bogie tender has a brass tank, work to complete the locomotive is largely platework and plumbing.
