3 1/2 inch gauge "Heilan Lassie"

A 3 1/2 inch gauge LNER Pacific to LBSC's "Hielan Lassie" design, a well-built and nicely painted engine that appears to have had little use.

This one has come to us seized, apparently from lack of use. It looks to be the centre cylinder affected, which will require some dismantling and freeing off - a job requiring a few hours in the workshop rather than further expenditure.

The regulator handle has been broken off and lost in the past and will require replacement. A common problem, often caused when somebody tries to force open a seized regulator. Nine times out of ten, putting a fire in an engine and putting it in light steam will cause a regulator to free off of its own accord, which saves a great deal of work!

We have hydraulic tested the boiler at twice working pressure and issued new certification - it is warrantied as sound.
