3 1/2 inch gauge Hornby "Rocket" & coach

The domestic equivalent of a barn find, this is an attic find Hornby Rocket - bought by a gentleman many years ago for his young son, now long since grown and left home. The Rocket served its purpose in kindling an enthusiasm for engineering, its owner now the custodian of a fine four and a half litre veteran car, beautifully restored with his father.

Complete with original, slight tatty box, track and an unboxed coach (which, unusually, retains all its rather fragile steps - most we see are missing at least one set).

Oil, instructions and miscellaneous paraphernalia that came with the engine when new have long since disappear.

Unsteamed in possibly 25 years, it rolls along freely but is otherwise untested.
