3 1/2 inch gauge LMS Black 5

An older example of LBSC's Black 5 design "Doris" that came in to the workshop, nicely made although not having been run in many years. It's had a hydraulic test and, after an oil around, ran well on air. The water gauge blowdown spindle and lubricator cover are missing, paintwork is getting tired and it needs a good clean.

Hydraulic test conducted 10-12-2012 @160psi for 80psi working pressure
