3 1/2 inch gauge LNER A1/1 Pacific "Hielan Lassie"

A 3 1/2 inch gauge LNER Pacific to LBSC's "Hielan Lassie" design.

Originally started by a Mr Hunt, it was bought by it's last owner in the late 1960s - a professional engineer who finished the boiler in 1972, before putting the project aside for his retirement.

No further work was done on the engine for the next 50 years until, in 2019, the boiler had its initial twice working pressure shell test (there being no point in being hasty about these things) - club certification was issued at that time.

Work to date comprises a largely complete rolling chassis with cylinders, axle pump, motion work and valve gear, along with the chassis for a tender.

Complete with various parts and castings, including rear frames with trailing wheelsets; smokebox door, chimney, banjo steam collector and grate; smokebox tube and a pair of purpose made carrying boxes.
