3 1/2 inch gauge Pacific "Pamela"

A particularly well-built 3 1/2 inch gauge Pacific to LBSC's "Pamela" design. Serialised in "Model Engineer" magazine in 1950 it was his - somewhat mischievous - re-imagining of Bulleid's Merchant Navy (many of which were, indeed, rebuilt in the late 1950s - possibly some "ME" readers at Eastleigh Works...)

An older engine, paintwork is "working clothes", however the combustion chamber boiler makes steam like it's going out of fashion. The finely built chassis runs exceptionally well - it ran on the rolling road for an hour last week with the safety valves feathering pretty much constantly - notching up accurately in either direction with a crisp, even exhaust beat.
