3 1/2 inch gauge "Pamela" 4-6-2

A venerable example of LBSC's "Pamela", a freelance 3 1/2 inch gauge Pacific, in this case fitted with striking looking Boxpok wheels which give it rather potent-looking appearance!

A sixty year old engine, it was last rebuilt in 1987 according to a brass plate attached to the tender - we assume that's when the rather flamboyant red livery was applied.

Boiler is, unusually, in steel. It's obviously been much used in the past, however Ashley - a man picky about welding admittedly, as he should be having built over 100 steel boilers in the works here - declined to test it having looked at the standard of construction!

Safety valves are currently seized in, the chassis rolls but doesn't run on air.
