3 1/2 inch gauge part-built "Rainhill"

A part-built 3 1/2 inch gauge "Rainhill" to the LSBC design, loosely based on "Rocket" as modified after the Rainhill trials of 1829.

Work to date comprises a largely complete chassis - slightly stiff to turn over, although we suspect mainly from years of storage and lack of lubrication.

Boiler is complete and, although currently rather grotty looking, we suspect an hour in the pickling tank would improve matters greatly.

The tender is complete with hand pump.
