3 1/2 inch gauge Southern Railway "Schools" 4-4-0

A well-advanced 3 1/2 inch gauge Southern Railway "Schools" class 4-4-0 - particularly well made, it's been built to high standard throughout.

The three-cylinder chassis is complete and air running, with piston valves actuated by Walschaerts gear.

CE-marked copper boiler is by Western Steam, silver soldered throughout and complete with manufacturer's documentation.

Tender chassis is well-advanced with brake gear fitted - there is a hand pump and profiled brass bodywork for the tank.

Complete with a quantity of loose parts including smokebox tube; castings for smokebox door, ring, chimney, petticoat pipe and dome; stainless steel ashpan and grate along with various fittings.
