3 1/2 inch gauge "Tich" 0-4-0T

A 3 1/2 inch gauge "Tich" 0-4-0T to the LBSC design, in small-boilered, Walschaerts gear form - the original and, in our view, still by far the prettiest!

An older engine, it rolls freely and runs lustily (there's no other way to describe the way a Tich, with its two inch diameter wheels, runs) - slightly better forwards than reverse.

The copper, silver soldered boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test with new certification issued.

If destined for the bookshelf - as many a Tich is, where they bring a tremendous sense of brio to a room - it needs nothing other than a wipe over and placing in some conspicuous spot where it can be admired.

If intended for a more active life, then we would recommend replacing the 0-100psi pressure gauge with a 0-120psi instrument, and attending to the leaky whistle valve which, left unattended, would become wearing after a while.
