3 1/2 inch gauge "Tich" 0-4-2T

A 3 1/2 inch gauge 0-4-2T, an extended version of LBSC's "Tich" design. The work of a prolific model engineer who built or rebuilt several locomotives, including the 5 inch gauge "Royal George" and prewar Stirling single we've sold in recent months.

Boiler is gas-fired, with burner installed under the footplate as shown in the photographs. There's a mysterious looking lead attached to the ashpan which we expect is an igniter, but would require some futher investigation.

Unused in many years, the engine is complete and rolls along freely. Most of the boiler fittings leak copiously, but the boiler itself appeared dry on test - it would need a twice working pressure test once the fittings have been made good.
