3 inch scale Foster with driving truck

We sold this one at the beginning of last year although it never actually left our premises, we stored it for some months while the new owner endured a prolonged stay in hospital. He's now happily restored to some degree of health, but unfortunately no longer able to cope with an engine of this size.

Pictures opposite and words below are from last year, condition is exactly the same now. There's some video here taken earlier today of it running around outside the works.

A well-built 3 inch scale Foster agricultural engine. Whilst seemingly ubiquitous in 4 inch scale, we rarely see a 3 inch version - don't know why, as it makes a large, attractive engine in this scale.

This one came in recently as a part exchange against a 4 inch scale Foster - it's a free-steaming, attractively proportioned engine.

Boiler is by the estimable Tony Baldwin of AJB Boilers, it's had recent hydraulic and steam tests with certification issued for same.

Paintwork is in a dark Lincoln green which looks well, wheels in vermillion.

Complete with a set of driver's footrests and a nicely made driving truck with large plastic auxiliary water tank and space for coal and tools within.
