3 inch scale Suffolk dredging tractor

A 3 inch Suffolk dredging tractor to the John Haining design. We last sold this one in 2011, it's recently come back in as part exchange against a 4 inch scale agricultural engine.

The engine has had hydraulic and steam tests in recent days with new certification issued. Overall it's in good order - there's some video of it running around outside the works earlier in the week here.

Currently fitted with something between a drip feed and displacement cylinder lubricator, we'd be tempted to swap it for a more positive acting mechanical job - the one fitted is a bit "all or nothing".

The quirky looks of the design belie its free-steaming nature and very capable performance, both on hard surfaces and grass - we've sold several over the years, always been impressed by the way they go.
