4 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine

A late model 4 inch scale Burrell 6nhp agricultural engine, recently assembled from a Steam Traction World kit.

This one has come to us from the family of the late builder, along with a fine 4 inch scale Savage "Little Samson" which he bought from us back in 2022.

New and unsteamed, the engine is virtually finished, with a handful of parts remaining to be fitted including gauge glass and protector, water lifter fittings and rear bunker extension.

The engine has been painted in grey primer as work has proceeded, ready for top coat when finished.

There are receipts totalling £18,867 including options with the engine, which is complete with tender-mounted driving seat, firing irons and what appears to be most of the factory-supplied assembly and steaming instructions.

We've had several Steam Traction World Burrells over the years - including several finished to a high standard - and have been impressed at how well they go.
