4 inch scale Burrell SCC road locomotive

A 4 inch scale Burrell single crank compound road locomotive, a large, powerful engine equally suited for road runs or the rally field.

Welded steel boiler with expanded tubes, 160psi working pressure, retubed in 2012. Ramsbottom type safety valve. Feed by injector and mechanical pump with auxiliary hand pump mounted in the tender.

Cast iron cylinder, twin cylinder to Burrell's single crank compound design, slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear. Mechanical lubricator. Pickering type governor, whistle and steam siren mounted on the block.

Three shaft, two speed transmission with differential, rubber tyres, winch mounted behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.
