4 inch scale Ruston SD steam tractor

A 4 inch scale Ruston Proctor 3 ton SD steam tractor, recently arrived with us in part exchange for a steam car. An attractive design, we've had these in everything from 2 inch scale to full size - they go well, there's a short clip of Connor running around the yard on it here.

Welded steel boiler, built 2000, 120psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump with auxiliary hand pump. Twin spring type safety valves. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, mechanical lubricator. The engine has a three shaft, two speed transmission with rubber tyres fitted to road wheels.

Complete with a driving truck with space for a passenger.
