5 gauge BR 9F 2-10-0 "Evening Star"

A 5 inch gauge BR 9F 2-10-0, built from a Winson kit.

An "out of the box" build, typically it doesn't turn over by hand - not unknown in these engines, normally requiring fettling and careful reassembly of cylinders and motionwork.

Missing its front piston valve covers, the engine appears otherwise complete. We haven't tested the new, unsteamed boiler but would warranty as sound, capable of passing a twice working pressure hydraulic test.

Scope for improvement, as they say. If you need some inspiration, we've had some excellent locomotives reworked from Winson/Modelworks kits in the past (including a super "Oliver Cromwell", which ran beautifully).
