5 inch gauge 15XX 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge GWR 15XX 0-6-0PT to LBSC's "Speedy" design, an older engine that has come to us from the builder's son.

The engine is painted in London Transport livery - the builder's employer at the time - and carries the number of his RAF squadron.

Apparently only test-steamed on a handful of occasions, the chassis turns over freely and runs on air, albeit in slightly choppy fashion - we'd expect it to be better under steam.

The CE-marked, Western Steam boiler has had a hydraulic test with new certification issued, it remains in good condition throughout though missing an ashpan and grate.

The water gauge fittings are loosed, they require removal and refitting with some sealant, along with a replacement glass.
