5 inch gauge "Ajax" 0-4-0T

A well built and attractively finished 0-4-0T to Dick Simmonds' "Ajax" design.

An older engine, it appears unsteamed in recent years. The engine runs on air, however it needs a variety of jobs to recommission for steaming, including:

• Re-seating clack valves
• Hand pump requires freeing off and broken handle replacing
• Safety valves need servicing/replacement

A worthwhile project - a pretty engine, the design has proved a capable performer with many examples built.
