5 inch gauge AME Class 66

A 5 inch gauge Class 66 battery electric locomotive, arrived with us in part-exchange as the owner trades up to 7 1/4 inch gauge.

Supplied new from Abbots Model Engineering in 2017 in Colas Rail livery, it's been kept in fine cosmetic and mechanical condition. Design and construction is to the usual fine standard we've come to expect from AME - there's a full technical specification on their website here.

Complete with front running lights (cunningly rewired onto a quick-detach fitting), sound card, Mtronics hand controller and a pair of 12V batteries.
