5 inch gauge AME "Neptune 3" 0-6-0 battery electric

A 5 inch gauge "Neptune 3" battery electric locomotive by Abbotts Model Engineering - in excellent condition, it appears to have had little use.

A well-proven design of robust construction, with all steel bodywork, the locomotive is driven by three 24 volt motors with 4QD controller and remote handset - it requires a pair of 12 volt batteries.

As with all the AME locomotives, paintwork and detailing is to a high standard, with powder-coated bodywork, glazed windows complete with dummy windscreen wipers and the optional flycranks and rods. Its compact size and ability to remove the batteries make it easy to load and transport single handed.
