5 inch narrow gauge locomotive boiler

A commercially built copper locomotive boiler; ordered by the builder on completion of a 5 inch narrow gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0WT and of similar size and proportions; it was intended, we believe, for his next project.

Barrel diameter 5 1/2 inches, inner firebox 4 1/2 inches square.

In as new condition, complete with outer dome casing and pair of safety valves, the boiler is CE-marked with maker's stamp and serial number on the backhead.
