Commercially built 5 inch gauge "Britannia" boiler

A commercially built silver soldered combustion chamber boiler for a 5 inch gauge Britannia by Swindon Boilers. Beautifully built, we've had many engines through our hands over the years with their boilers, which we consider some of the finest made.

Trevor Tremblen, proprietor of the company, was apprenticed at Swindon works as a coppersmith in 1961, working on many of the Great Western main line steam locomotives. Starting Swindon Boilers in 1983, he went on to produce over 1200 model boilers for a wide variety of locomotives.

Complete with manufacturer's documentation, including a 200psi shell test certificate for 100psi working.
