5 inch gauge Class 14 "Teddy Bear" petrol hydraulic

A 5 inch gauge Class 14, powered by a Honda GX22 four stroke electric start engine with centrifgual clutch driving through an open forward/reverse gearbox.

This one has come in recently from the builder as a part exchange, in running order, complete with 12 volt battery and charger.

There is a starting dog on the end of the crankshaft allowing the engine to be started by use of a cordless drill if required - useful if confronted by a trainful of passengers and a flat battery!

There are working lights front and back which can be switched from red to white depending on direction of travel.

The locomotive is fitted with mechanical, screw-down brakes and two-tone horns.
