5 inch gauge Class 31

A 5 inch gauge Class 31 battery-electric, of tired aspect and "hand-knitted" wiring, complete with a pair of superannuated batteries.

Built on a steel chassis with fibreglass body, the bogies are driven by a pair of motors each, powered by a 24V Parkside controller, complete with hand remote control.

In need of some tidying up and a pair of batteries, however it did just about run backwards and forwards this afternoon on the charge that was left in the originals.
