5 inch gauge Class 37 battery electric with new batteries

A 5 inch gauge Class 37 battery electric, built from a kit supplied by Bexhill and fitted with 24 volt controller, driving six motors via a Parkside controller. A large, powerful locomotive with ample performance for most club applications. However... should you decide you need a little more "oomph", we have an identical one which can be run in tandem with this one, with cable connecting the two together allowing use of a single controller - either can still be used independently if required.

Like most battery electric locomotives, this one pulls apart in moments - it can be transported as chassis, pair of bogies, body and batteries, each of which is an easy one man lift.
