5 inch gauge ground level driving truck

A particularly well-made bogie driving truck, nicely-built in the first place and in fine condition.

Built for ground-level use it runs on a pair of cast-iron framed bogies with axles running in roller bearings. The front bogie is braked, with a substantial driver's brake lever just beside your left knee. The wooden body has a pair of comfortable padded seats for driver and a close friend, there are full-length foot boards fitted giving a secure and comfortable riding position. There is a copper water tank with valve piped through to the front and a stainless steel coal tray let in flush just in front of the driving seat.
