5 inch gauge GWR 0-6-0PT

A 5 inch gauge GWR 0-6-0 pannier tank to LBSC's "Pansy" design, it came to us from an experienced model engineer along with several other locomotives, including the Britannia "Western Star", LNER A4 "Sir Nigel Gresley" and an LNER V1.

The engine was well-built originally and fitted with a new commercial boiler by John Ellis some years ago, since when it had remained unsteamed.

Paintwork is in good condition - whilst the pannier tank covers much of the boiler, there is no cladding sheet beneath.

The engine has recently had a couple of days in our workshop for recommissioning. Boiler has had new hydraulic and steam tests with certification issued for same - the first time it's ever had a fire in it - followed by running for a couple of hours on the rolling road.

It goes well, a particularly good example of one of LBSC's most popular designs.
