5 inch gauge GWR 0-6-0PT

A well-advanced 5 inch gauge GWR 0-6-0PT, the work of a highly experienced model engineer.

Work to date comprises a rolling chassis complete with cylinders; motion work and valve gear; smokebox assembly complete with door, petticoat pipe and chimney and a silver soldered copper boiler.

Fit and finish of machining work on the chassis is to a high standard. The boiler plates have been neatly flanged and show good solder penetration - it appears structurally sound on hydraulic test, although with a leak from one firebox stay which will require attention.
