5 inch gauge GWR 4-6-0 No.6009 "King Charles II"

A finely built 5 inch gauge GWR King, No.6009 "King Charles II". Previously owned by a man well-known in the road steam world, with a beautiful full-sized Showmans engine in a shed at the bottom of his garden, kept company by an immaculate classic Jaguar.

A well-proven engine, it has been recently fully overhauled, with a new CE-marked boiler fitted before the engine and tender were professionally painted and lined (at significant cost we're told by the previous owner - seeing the finish achieved we don't doubt it!). Unsteamed since, it's been on display in the house in company with several other fine models.

Since arriving here the boiler has had hydraulic test, the engine has been run on air - we're just waiting for a sunny day to steam it.
