An early stage set of parts to construct a batch of three 5 inch gauge GWR 2-4-0 tank locomotives to Martin Evans' elegant "Metro" design (there's a good one pictured here in the archive if you want to remind yourself what they look like).
Work to date has been done to a good standard, all three crank axles have been machined complete with eccentric straps and sheaves, all wheels turned and some motionwork and valve gear started.
There are parts for one boiler which we're pretty sure are for a Metro (but you never do know with shed clearouts).
