5 inch gauge Hunslet "Jack" 0-4-0

A 5 inch gauge Hunslet 0-4-0WT "Jack". A commercially produced locomotive by Maxitrak, modelled on the 18 inch gauge locomotive built in 1898 which spent its entire working life at John Knowles Limited's Mount Pleasant Works in Leicestershire - the company was a manufacturer of clay water pipes.

In good condition throughout, this one came to us recently complete with tender; well-sorted, it steams freely and runs very well. Although 5 inch gauge, it's similar in size and weight to a 7 1/4 inch gauge, 3 inch scale Hunslet.

Supplied with 12 months warranty, firing irons and starter kit of coal and oil.

If required we would be more than happy to include half a day's training at our works on the firing, driving and disposal of the engine for a new owner.
