SECOND HAND
7232
A finely made 5 inch gauge model of the Kerr Stuart 0-4-2ST "Edward Thomas", built in 1921 for the Corris Railway and now preserved on the Talyllyn Railway. The model is built to Ross Harrison's well-regarded design, standard of machining is excellent, with very crisply done valve gear and motionwork, with nice detailing including castellated nuts on the crossheads and dieblock oilers.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump under a flap on the right hand bunker. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Hackworth gear with pole reverser, twin sight feed lubricators in the cab.
Backhead is laid out neatly - the top half of the cab rear sheet removes allowing access to the controls, it can be fired through the lower porthole, same as the full-size engine.
Complete with a very substantial carrying/storage crate.
Length 34 inches
