5 inch gauge LMS 3F 0-6-0T

We sold this one to a long-time customer, experienced builder & boilermaker up in Scotland back in 2024. Used occasionally as a club engine, it's come back to us recently as part of a downsizing effort.

We've reissued fresh hydraulic and steam certificates, we also have current club documentation for the same.

In steam we found the injector to be ornamental and the right-hand water gauge indecisive as to where it thought the water level might be; that aside, it made steam and ran well, with the mechanical and hand pumps both entirely satisfactory.

A 5 inch gauge LMS 3F "Jinty" 0-6-0T, a two year old engine in excellent condition having been steamed on a handful of occasions from new.

Factory built and painted, the locomotive has a CE-marked silver-soldered copper boiler pressed to 90psi, complete with manufacturer's documentation; the chassis has gunmetal slide valve cylinders with mechanical lubricator and stainless steel motionwork, the bodywork is in etched brass.
