5 inch gauge LNER Y4 castings

An early stage 5 inch gauge LNER Y4 0-4-0 tank engine, a robustly proportioned, Walschaert's gear engine - parts and castings are available from Doug Hewson.

Work to date comprises a rolling chassis, part-machined cylinders, various unmachined castings and a set of piston rings. The engine could be built up to an air-running chassis for minimal cost, basically some stock material for the motion work.
