5 inch narrow gauge Maxitrak "Simplicity" 0-4-0 battery electric

A 5 inch narrow gauge Maxitrak "Simplicity" battery electric locomotive, an outside-framed, narrow-gauge design - in our eyes one of the best-looking locomotives they've produced of this type.

The welded steel chassis is fitted with a Linix 200W motor, with chain drive to all wheels. Controller is the well-proven 4QD DNO-10 with RBT-12 handset.

There is a headlamp fitted, along with wiring should it be desired to fit install a sound card in the future. Battery is a Yuasa dry fit 12V 36Ah, complete with mains charger.

A robustly built locomotive weighing in at just over half a hundredweight - in good condition, it runs well.
