5 inch gauge Minx 0-6-0

An early stage 5 inch gauge "Minx", the 0-6-0 goods engine sister of LBSC's popular "Maid of Kent" design.

Work to date comprises:

• chassis complete with crank axle, cylinders, guide bars and motion work
  
• connecting rods
• machined die block guides
• smokebox saddle
• profiled tender frames
• set of machined tender wheels
• flanged boiler plates, tubes and barrel, as shown

One of our favourite designs. Like all goods engines, many fewer were modelled than their more glamorous express counterparts, but for us Minx has all of the considerable capabilities of Maid of Kent, but without the slightly skittish adhesion associated with a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement.
