5 inch gauge NY&HRR 4-4-0

A finely built 5 inch gauge New York & Hudson River Railroad 4-4-0 to the John Clarke design - we've had these in before, always been impressed by the way they go.

The engine has come from the family of the late builder - in excellent condition, it has spend much of its life on display in the late builder's house.

Boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test with new certification issued - it's in good order and warrantied as such.

Regulator currently requires attention - whilst most leak, this one just to be different doesn't open. It's fitted in the smokebox - petticoat pipe, wet header and main steam pipes will require dismantling to get at it.
