5 inch gauge part-built LNER 2-8-0, commercial boiler

We sold this one back in 2017 - as so often happens, good intentions exceeded realistic time management, and after six years under the bench the owner has decided to move it on.

Appears untouched in the intervening years, with some parts still in our own packaging from last decade - pictures and words were taken at that time.

Parts, castings and a commercially built boiler for Martin Evans' LNER 2-8-0 "Nigel Gresley" design.

Work to date comprises erected frames - grubby, with light surface rust - turned wheels and axles, pony truck and a set of machined cylinders with valves. There are profiled tender frames and motionwork, a quantity of unmachined castings including tender wheels, dome, brake shoes and smokebox door with front ring.

Grate is in stainless steel, the silver soldered copper boiler is by Dragon Boilers, complete with manufacturer's documentation.
