5 inch gauge Ride on Railways "Hercules" battery electric 0-4-0

A 5 inch gauge Ride on Railways "Hercules" battery electric - for our money still one of the best thought out battery locomotives on the market.

Thoughtfully designed with ease of maintenance and transport much in mind - by use of quick detach connectors you can take the whole thing apart into easily liftable parts in a couple of minutes.

Steel construction throughout - including the bodywork - combined with the batteries produces good adhesive weight for passenger-hauling, the bogie chassis allowing negotiation of curves down to 9 feet.

This one was well-specified from new, with optional sound card, quick detach battery connectors and red-painted buffer beams.

Drive is by four 150 watt motors, two per bogie, with 24 volt 120 amp iDrive controller.

Complete with a pair of new, boxed heavy duty batteries.
