5 inch gauge SNCF bogie shunter

A 5 inch gauge SNCF battery-electric shunter, a well-advanced project with Parkside 12 volt 60 amp controller and the most fabulous gearbox - we can only assume the builder owned shares in a chain and sprocket concern. No motor fitted, however there is a variety of 12 volt types widely available for this kind of application.

The chassis has twin bogies - one fitted, the other in "kit form" which requires assembling. There is an air horn fitted under the front running board which requires a compressor.

Quite a large locomotive at a yard long - unusual, it would be an interesting project to complete.
